Newcomers...

I'm very excited about 4 new mares that have come in.  3 have come from the farm where Jasmine and Forrest have gone to, and they are wonderful to handle and very sweet.  Leila is a 4 y/o bay quarter cross mare, 15'H (and growing, her butt's up in the air!), who is a little rock star over jumps (and the boss of her little herd).  Cleo is a 3 y/o chestnut quarter mare, 14'2, an absolute doll in the pasture.  Penny is a 2 y/o draft/paint cross; 14'3 (and growing) and the shyest in the group.  I'm excited both about Forrest and Jas's promotion and can't wait to hear about how they develop this year, and thrilled to get these three girls going!

Maizie is the fourth mare.  She is a 9 y/o 16H bay quarter or walking horse mare (I haven't had her in gait, so that remains to be seen, but she sure looks more like a walker than a quarter horse!)  She is a follower for sure and the kind of horse you want to sit on the fence and hang out with for awhile.

All of these girls have very obviously been handled with love for most of their lives, and I'm very optimistic about their progress to the next level :)
