WONDERFUL 9 y/o TB mare offered in trade for lesson pony!

Posting this here for a friend of mine:

Sam is a nine year old AP Jet TB mare that was bred by a friend of mine in Ocala. I bought her to breed three years ago and then started training her when her baby turned a year or so, so she is still considered green even though she is nine.

Sam is super sweet, very cute, and very healthy and sound. She is a big-bodied, bay with tons of chrome. Right now, she needs an intermediate rider. I had our trainer on her when we first put her in training and she took her to a few local shows and she was champion every time at 2'6"!  However, only kids have been on her for the past year (teens), so she needs a trainer to get back on her for 30 or 60 days again.

She was a great broodmare, as well. She had a beautiful baby by a pony hunter stallion that I am hoping will turn out to be a large pony. Sam is approx. 15.1 or so. She is very big-bodied- not your typical TB so she fits larger people. She has flat feet, so does need shoes all the way around.  Her movement is much better without shoes so her baby moves really well.

At one point, we had her priced above $10k, but am very negotiable right now because I am in need of a lesson pony/horse for beginner riders and she is not suitable for that. My teenagers here all love riding her, though, and will be very mad if she leaves! She is very easy to handle- the kids ride her bareback all around the farm, etc. She just can get quick at the trot and little beginner 5,6,7 year olds will be too intimidated on her. I would be open to trade for a nice small horse for beginner lessons or will listen to any reasonable offers. MUST be a good home. She is so sweet and will be missed!

Thanks!
